Shameka Wells, MPH, CHES
Shameka Wells joined Kennesaw State University in August of 2013 as Director of the Women’s Resource Center. In this position, she ensured the WRC served as a bridge between student survivors of interpersonal violence and support services, provided a safe space to discuss women and gender issues, and collaborated with campus and community partners to engage students in co-curricular education programs to address these issues.
She currently serves as a member of the leadership team for Cultural and Community Centers (CCC) under the umbrella of Student Affairs. In this position, she supervises staff and programs focused on the topics of gender and sexuality, develops and leads CCC initiatives, and supervises grant programs.
Shameka attended Francis Marion University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology and later attended the University of South Carolina, were she obtained a Master of Public Health Degree with a focus in health promotion, education, and behavior.
